INCHEON MUNICIPAUTY Dong-gu

The Hwa Do Jin Park was made in 27th Aug 1878 by King Go Jong. The King let Sin Jeoug Hee who is captain of Eo Young Department set up the guns and camp against Japan's unreasonable demand to open a port since the Kang Wha treaty.
The King Go Jong's ambassador plenipotentiary Shin Hun and Robert W. Shufeldt also had contracted the treaty in 22th May 1882 at Hwa Do Jin.
Between Korea and England, Korea and Germany had contracted the treaty in June the same year too.

However, Wha Do Jin was burned down because of the military system was reorganized following the Gapohgyeongjang in 1894.
A statue has been built to commemorate the 100th anniversary for treaty of peace, commerce and navigation between Korea and the US.
It had restored at Inchoen in September 1988 and it's been approaching till now.

The way the Directions

Stop at Dong Incheon Station and go straight to Incheon station about 100m.
Pass under the railroad bridge then go straight 30M and turn left at the intersection.
Go straight more 200m then there will be on the right side.
For more information, there is parking lot but it's not big enough.
